A popular children’s book character is back in downtown Augusta.
Kenneth Benson, shop manager at the The Book Tavern, says: “Basically it’s 26 businesses participating where we have a little Waldo and he’s hidden somewhere inside their store.”
Naiem Harvey at Sweets on Broad adds: “It’s very interesting. I wish I did have something like that over the summer. I probably would have read more books.”
11-year-old Kaitlyn Mixon, who has been on the hunt for Waldo, says: “It’s mostly competition which I’m very competitive so it’s really fun to play.”
“It’s a great way to love our downtown and get to know it a little more,” said Benson.
